Charles "CB" Clark, Sr. Obituary

Charles “CB” B. Clark, Sr., 91, of Everett, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
 
He was born in Bakers Summit, PA, on January 1, 1932, a son of the late Elliot and Hazel (Harclerode) Clark.
 
On May 27, 1949, he married Evelyn A. (Beck) Clark who passed away on July 27, 2023.
 
He is survived by a daughter, Judy E. McCann of Manns Choice, PA; two sons, Charles B. Clark Jr. and wife Sharon (Heister) of Everett, PA and Joel R. Clark and wife Judy (Cogan) of Everett, PA; eight grandchildren, Wendy, Trent, Alissia, Cora, Stacy, Garrett, James, and Sandra; twenty-three great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Patricia A. Nycum and husband Tom of Everett, PA, and Alberta B. Hitechew of Boswell, PA; five brothers, Elliot E. “Gene” Clark and wife Nellie of Everett, PA, Clyde Larry Clark and wife Audrey of Clearville, PA, Leroy V. Clark and wife Connie of Everett, PA, Tim R. Clark and wife Kim of Central City, PA, and Mark A. Clark and wife Jaime of Bedford, PA; four sisters-in-law, Dona M. Clark of Willoughby, Ohio, Donna K. Clark of Everett, PA, Charlotte A. Clark of Breezewood, PA, and Wanda Clark of Everett, PA; and a brother-in-law, Jim Claycomb of Alum Bank, PA.
 
In addition to his parents and wife, CB was preceded in passing by a sister, Lula Jane Claycomb; seven brothers, Tom Harclerode, Aubrey R. “Hob” Clark, Roquette D. “Rock” Clark, Ezekial E. “Zeke” Clark, Malon Wayne “Butch” Clark, E. Norman Clark, and Rickie L. “Rick” Clark; and an infant sister, Flossie Ann Clark.
 
After high school, Charles joined the United States Army where he served for three and a half years in the 15th Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion. He earned the Combat Service Award, Good Conduct Award, National Defense Award, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, U.S. Commemorative Award, and the Ambassador For Peace. After his service in the military, he was a self-employed truck driver for many years until his retirement.
 
In his free time, he enjoyed reading his favorite books by his favorite author, John Grisham, going to the races to watch his family, and watching golf and old westerns on TV.
 
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
