Anna Smith Obituary

Anna Louise (Jay) Smith, 86, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 28th 2016. She was born Tuesday, September 10, 1929 in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Floyd Jay and Joanna G. (Miller) Jay. She is survived by her three children, Allan L. Smith and wife Cindy (Mitchell) of Osterburg, Karen J. Smith of Bedford, Roberta A. Arnold and husband Todd of Schellsburg, Five grandchildren, Nathan Claycomb of Imler, Marlena Metz of Bedford, Darin Smith of Duncansville, Jason Price and companion Lisa Cunningham of Pittsburgh, Andy Thomas and wife Katie of Bedford, And four great grandchildren, Addison Claycomb, Kylar Metz, Khloe Thomas and Aubrey Thomas In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing away by a grandson Joey Fetter, a son Robert J. Smith, two brothers, James Jay and Theodore Jay and her former husband Robert K. Smith. In her younger years, Anna worked at Lion Manufacturing in Everett and after raising her children, worked at the Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge in Breezewood. She was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, playing bingo and cards, shopping with her daughters, and truly enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery.
