Bertha A. (Hook) Crawford

Bertha A. Crawford, 83, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2nd, 2013. She was born Tuesday, April 22nd, 1930 at Timmons Hospital in Bedford, a daughter of the late Conda L. Hook and Alice Mae (Bowman) Hook. On June 30, 1960 she married Jack D. Crawford who passed away on Sunday, January 6th, 2008. She is survived by their son, Jeffrey A. Crawford and wife Justine (Whitmer) Crawford of Bedford a stepdaughter, Valerie Feight, of Hopewell a stepson, Gary Crawford of Long Island, NY 3 grandchildren, Chelsea, Jewelean, and Nicholas a great granddaughter Addy, a sister-in-law Velma Crawford, of Bedford and a nephew William Crawford, Jr., and wife Peggy Crawford, of Bedford. She was preceded in passing away by her sister Freda Bollman. Mrs. Crawford was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Everett. She was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1949, and was employed as a seamstress and Lion Manufacturing in Everett for many years until retiring. At home she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching her favorite soap operas on television, cooking, and taking a walk with her son Jeff, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10th, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Jeff Welsh officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Monday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
