Betty Lee Bussard, 77, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 4th, 2014. She was born Saturday, April 25th, 1936 at her family home in Everett, a daughter of the late George Albert Foor and Wilda Elizabeth (Guyer) Foor. She was married to Glenn E. Henry who passed away on May 23, 1973 and then to Richard F. Bussard who passed away on October 22nd, 1997, and is survived by their children, Dale R. Henry and wife Vicki S. (Bussard) Henry, of Bedford Marty D. Henry and wife Lisa (Zembower) Henry, of Bedford LuAnne (Henry) Hann of Everett and her fiancé Mick Jones, of Chambersburg Lynne R. (Henry) Fix and husband Mark L. Fix, of Breezewood Kenneth E. Bussard and wife Penny (Blake) Bussard, of Ebensburg Ten grandchildren, Ashley Beegle, Sarah (Henry) Feaster and husband Kirk, Joshua Henry and wife Karen, Jarrett Fix and fiancé Rachel Thomas, Jessica Hann, Jasen Fix, Matthew Henry, Kathleen Hann and fiancé Senior Airman Austin Capps, Blake Bussard, Aaron Henry Four great-grandchildren, Isaiah Henry, Sydney Fix, Mckinley Feaster, Grace Henry and a new great-grandson Feaster on the way. She was preceded in passing away by an infant son and a brother Harold Dean Foor. Mrs. Bussard was a graduate of Everett Southern Joint High School, Class of 1954, and a member of the Everett Church of the Brethren where she previously served as a deaconess, sang in the church choir, was a member of the Christian Education Team, helped to prepare for the Heritage Fair at Camp Blue Diamond (the Church of the Brethren camp near State College) and served on various committees and other outreach programs of the church A dedicated and loving homemaker, Betty Lee always welcomed her family and their friends to her home, especially the newborns and young ones who she greeted with a hug or held them in her arms in her hickory rocking chair until they fell asleep. She always had time to care for the children of family and friends she cared for who came to know her as "Grammy," and a homemade pizza or roll was surely on the menu. At home Betty Lee enjoyed working the daily crossword puzzles in the newspaper with her puzzle dictionary by her side, was an avid reader who also enjoyed working other puzzles games, and watching her favorite soap opera. A caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she will be greatly missed for her wonderful smile and caring ways she shared with so many. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8th, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Everett Church of the Brethren with Pastor Beverly Swindell officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 am until the hour of service, and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com.
