Betty R. Means, 86, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 10th, 2013. She was born Saturday, January 22nd, 1927 at her family home in Black Valley, a daughter of the late Roy E. "Bob" Means and Flora M. (Conner) Means. She is survived by many loving cousins and their families from both the Conner and Means sides of her family. Betty was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Everett where she served as church secretary, was a Sunday School teacher, choir member and took care of providing flowers for the Sunday liturgy. She was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1945, and was a telephone operator for over 40 years with United Telephone Company until retiring. At home she enjoyed flower gardening outside and tending to flowers inside, working with ceramic crafts, and was just happy to have her good health, good family and good friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 14th, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Zion Lutheran Church in Everett with Rev. David Wright officiating. Friends may call at the Church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery. Along with flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty to the Zion Lutheran Church, 110 West Main Street, Everett, PA 15537 or to your charity of choice. Arrangements by Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett.
