C. Ott Obituary

C. Elizabeth Ott, 81, of Homewood at Martinsburg, a life long resident of New Enterprise, passed away on Saturday, June 27th, 2015. She was born Tuesday, March 20th, 1934 at Nason Hospital in Roaring Springs, a daughter of the late Edgar and Grace (Arble) Snider. On August 16th, 1950 she married John A. Ott who passed away on June 1st, 1984, and is survived by their children, Shirley A. Donaldson of Everett John D. Ott and wife Judith (Irvin) Ott of New Enterprise, 2 grandchildren', 4 step grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 12 step great-grandchildren, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and their families. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in passing away by a son Glen D. Ott in 1990, 4 sisters, Loraine Snider, Rose Snider, Mary Belle Bollman and Florence Stone and a brother James Snider. Elizabeth, known as Liz to her family and friends, was an enthusiastic member of the Purple Panthers Red Hat Club, and in her earlier years, was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Southern Cove Fire Department, the Lioness Club of the Cove, the Southern Cove Homemakers and the Woodbury Grange. With a great sense of humor, telling jokes and laughing along the way, Liz was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to her friends. She enjoyed baking, listening to gospel music, playing bingo, attending flea markets and serving as a tour guide with her traveling companions. Visiting Liz with a McDouble cheeseburger and a sweet tea in hand from McDonalds was sure to bring a smile to her face and she will be remembered for a life truly lived and loved. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Ed Sutton officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Bedford Forge Cemetery, Yellow Creek.
