Carlene Kay Imes, 66, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Meadow View Nursing Center in Berlin, after a 50-year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born Saturday, January 17th, 1948 in Brownsville, a daughter of the late Coy Milton Imes and Pearl E. (Ruby) Imes. She is survived by two sisters, Vivian Ritchey and husband June Ritchey, of Everett Gail Morris of Big Prairie, Ohio And many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and their families. She was preceded in passing away by a sister Esther Graeff and her husband Gordon, two brothers, Coy Milton "Pud" Imes, Jr., and Melvin Leo Imes and his wife Glendora, and a brother-in-law Eugene Morris. Carlene was of the Protestant Beliefs and Religion, and enjoyed attending Churches of any denomination with her family and friends as well as and traveling with them on missionary trips. She was a graduate of Everett Southern Joint High School, Class of 1965, and was a graduate of the Altoona Beauty School. She first worked as a stylist at Marjorie Stultz Beauty Shop in Snake Spring, later working with Rose Schetrompf at her beauty shop in Everett. She then worked as a secretary for Dr. Manges in Everett until retiring. Carlene enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with her Mom and brother Pud, loved her pet poodle Pierre, and also enjoyed spending time with her friends at Colonial Courtyard at Bedford, and in most recent years, with her friends at Meadow View. A loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, she will be remembered for the kinds words she gave to us, "Keep your thoughts lovely, have no more crying, and I am going home." A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 14th, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating.
