Obituary

Carol Ann (Potts) Clabaugh, Hustontown, PA, formerly of Everett, went to be with her LORD
Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 9th, 2021, at home surrounded by family.

She was born Wednesday, June 12th, 1946, to the late Stanley Jacob Potts and Elsie Elizabeth
(Pepple) Potts. On August 13th, 1964, she married W. Gary Clabaugh in Winchester, Virginia.
Preceding her in death was her husband, her parents, her sister Lisa (Potts) Scoggins and her
nephew, Joel Scoggins, both of San Antonio, TX.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy married to Steve Gelvin of Hustontown, and Julie
married to Brian Jacobs of York along with grandchildren Brandon Gelvin, Steve Jacobs and
fiancé, Christina Lukac, and Amy Jacobs. Great-grandchildren Kailee, Brookelynn, Maxx,
Braylin, Brody, Brinley, Ryot, and Lucy, all of Pennsylvania, survive as well as brother-in-law
Terrell Scoggins, nieces Rebekah, Deborah, and Sarah (Scoggins) Meyer and her family,
nephews Jacob, Joseph, all from Texas and John and his family of Oklahoma.
Carol leaves behind special cousin Polly Feaster plus many beloved friends and brothers and sisters in the Lord around the world from Pennsylvania to Texas to New South Wales, Australia.

She greatly enjoyed winters spent in Texas with family and road trips there and back with friends.
Carol was a member of First Christian Church, Everett, PA and valued Bible studies and being
involved in prayer gatherings. Sharing the Word of God, using it to encourage and uplift others,
was an important part of her life. She also took pleasure in baking and sharing the finished
product with others. Watching family members at sporting events and playing the piano
provided many hours of relaxation.

A graduate of Everett Southern Joint High School class of 1964, Carol later took night classes in
business at Penn State, Altoona. She worked in clerical/bookkeeper and retail positions at
Bedford Memorial Hospital and Tom Grance Photography until 2002 when she began
caregiving for family and friends.
