Carol McCoy Obituary

Carol McCoy, 62, of Clearville and Pottstown, passed away on Thursday, April 30th, 2015. She was born Tuesday, November 18th, 1952 in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Erma (Tyson) Hennessey. On June 27th, 1970 in Philadelphia, she married Kenneth M. "Ken" McCoy, who survives along with their children, Kenneth M. McCoy, Jr. and wife Rosemary of Lansdale Kimberly Troilo and husband Vince of Royersford Six grandchildren, Ella, Victor, Nick, Felicia, Benjamin, and Brianna, a great grandson Jaxson, A sister Nancy Halpin, and three brothers, Kenny Hennessey, Patrick Hennessey, and Donald Tyson. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in passing away by a sister Joyce Leonard. Carol was a graduate of the Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia. After graduation, she first worked as a registered nurse for the Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia, then at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, and later worked for several nursing homes in the Pottstown area until retiring. At home she enjoyed reading, working on crafts like crocheting, doll making, painting and drawing, and will be remembered for her kindness and dedication to others.
