Charles Dominic Cicala, Sr.

Charles D. Cicala Sr., 82, of Clearville, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

 

He was born Thursday, January 5, 1939 in Washington D.C, a son of the late Anthony J. Cicala and Catherine A. (Calhoun) Cicala.

 

He was formerly married to Katherine J. (Souder).

 

She survives along with their son, Charles D. Cicala Jr., two sisters, Louise Louis and Alice Middleton, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by two brothers, Carmelo and Anthony Cicala, and a son, Thomas Cicala.

 

After attending Northwestern High School, Charles joined the United States Navy. 

 

Upon returning from the military, he then worked as a self-employed painter using his talents for numerous restoration projects. 

 

Charles had many passions in life. He loved hunting and fishing on his 140 acres in Clearville. He enjoyed restoring vehicles, working on farm equipment, and spending time with his grandchildren.

 

Funeral service will be Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:00 am in the chapel at Donelson Funeral Home, Main Street, Everett. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
