Clifford Redinger Obituary

Clifford J. Redinger, 95, of Martinsburg, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 with family at his side. He was born Friday, March 18th, 1921 at his family home in Southampton Township, a son of the late Raymond Redinger and Mary (Miller) Redinger. On August 8th, 1942, he married Edith (Cook) Redinger who passed away on September 10, 2001. He is survived by their children, Clifford M. Redinger and wife Judith (Divley) Redinger of Hollidaysburg, Gary L. Redinger and wife Janet (Walters) Redinger of Saxton, E. Donita Feathers and husband Paul Feathers of Newry, John S. "Buddy" Redinger and wife Earline (Reese) Redinger of Roaring Spring, Debbie C. Wineland and husband Jim Kyle of Martinsburg, R. Keith Redinger and wife Mary E. (Butler) Redinger of Martinsburg, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren, and a sister Mary Bussard of Broad Top City. He was preceded in passing away by a grandson Jeremiah Feathers, four sisters and four brothers. Mr. Redinger was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church, Roaring Spring. As a young man, he enlisted in the United States Army prior to World War II, serving as a Private First Class security guard and trainer before and during the war effort. After returning home from his service to his country, Clifford first worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company in Cumberland, later working at Veeder-Root in Duncansville as a die caster until retiring. At home Clifford enjoyed hunting, carpentry and gardening, and will be remembered as a dedicated father, grandfather, brother and friend who always put his family first, and lived by the cardinal rule of respect for others. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14th, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Mark Lingenfelter officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Mt. Zion Christian Cemetery, Chaneysville, with Full Military Honors conducted by the Everett Honor Guard.
