As director of the Community Choir, Connie sang with members of other local churches in a choir who brought fellowship through music to various church holiday services, hymn sings, revivals, and local nursing home events. A graduate of Grafton High School, Grafton, West Virginia, Connie attended Fairmont Teachers College where she earned her degree as a Medical Technician. For the next six years, she worked as a Lab Technician at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and after her children were born, was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed volunteer work for local charities, including the Breezewood Trucker Traveler Ministry once she and her husband retired to Everett.
