Daisy Snowden Obituary

Daisy S. "Ducky" Snowden, 19, of Breezewood, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 2, 2011, with her parents at her side. She was born November 7, 1991 at Windber Medical Center, a daughter of Rodney R. Snowden and Jackie J. (Getz) Snowden of Breezewood. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandmother, Margaret Snowden, of New Paris, brothers and sisters, Jerome Snowden, and fiancé Courtney Fleegle, of Fishertown Chastity Fraker and husband Dan, of Claysburg Stacey Snowden, of Everett Rose Snowden, and boyfriend Rob Wright, of Everett Bridget Snowden, of Breezewood and her twin sister Cora Snowden of Breezewood, aunts and uncles, Peggy Hinson, of Osterburg Polly Ickes, of Osterburg Galen and Linda Snowden, of Bedford Sylvia and Dwayne Lehman, of Houtzdale, Randy and Cindy Snowden, of Bedford Rick and Doris Snowden, of Schellsburg Kevin Snowden of Ohio, a sister she took on as her own, Heather Lindsay, of Everett and her son Jason special friend and boyfriend, Cory Oliver, of Breezewood, a grandfather she took on as her own, Ray Coakley, of Everett close family friends, Dave and Sara Grimm, of Everett 6 nieces, Mikayla Getz, Izzabelle Clark, Maria Getz, Jazmin Getz, Gretchen Clark, Lisabeth Helsel 4 nephews, John Snowden, Jacob Snowden, Jasson Snowden, Clay Cox and many loving cousins and friends. She was preceded in passing away by twin brothes Jack and Joe, a nephew Teyerone Clark, an uncle, Alfred Snowden, and grandparents Jack and Helen (Rose) Getz and Don Snowden. Daisy was a member of Jerusalem Christian Church in Warfordsburg and a member of the youth group at the Rehoboth Church. She was a graduate of Everett Area High School, Class of 2011, and presently attended classes at the Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown where she studied culinary arts. She first worked in the laundry maid at the Ramada Inn in Breezewood, and then at the Holiday Inn Express and also worked as a cafeteria assistant at Mann Monroe Elementary School. She enjoyed camping with her family, was a talented artist who enjoyed sketching with pencil, reading her daily devotions and books about wedding planning, and really loved spending time with her cat "Love Bug" and pet dogs, "Skunkers and Brownie," and was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend who will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Jerusalem Christian Church with Pastor John Miller officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett on Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Saturday at the Church from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Jerusalem Christian Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Daisy to the funeral home.
