Delores Tuttle Obituary

Delores May Tuttle, 79, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19th, 2015. She was born Monday, March 2nd, 1936 in Clearville, a daughter of the late Marie Thompson Haste and Herbert Thompson. In 1951 she married Clyde Cornell of Georgia, who survives along with their children, Bonny L. Honaker of Baltimore, Richard D. Cornell of Glen Burnie, Three granddaughters: Tera Cornell of Baltimore, Laura Cornell of Baltimore, and Sophia Cornell of Florida, Four great-grandchildren: Destiny DeWitt, Donte Cornell, Dylan Massie, and Danielle Youngbar, A sister Santina M. Scott of Hurlock, Maryland and a brother Robert L. Thompson of Clearville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing away by three sisters, Barbara A. Timbrook, Patricia A. Turner, and Betty Thompson and a brother Donald E. Thompson. In her younger years, Delores was a waitress at the Howard Johnson's Restaurant in Breezewood, and after moving to Glen Burnie, was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family. She was the self designated babysitter for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a job she truly enjoyed, and also enjoyed keeping a perfect home, cooking, watching television shows about cooking and working puzzles, and will be remembered for her willingness to always help her family. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 24th, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, (with Pastor Ed Sutton officiating.) Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Union Memorial Cemetery.
