Dixie Lee (Cordell) Dunkle

Dixie L. Dunkle, 73, of Everett, passed away on Tuesday, May 12th 2015. She was born Wednesday, April 8th, 1942 at her family home in West Providence Township, a daughter of the late Charles L. Cordell and Evelyn L. (Sipes) Cordell. On February 21st, 1959 in Cumberland she married David "Jake" Dunkle who passed away on September 25th, 2011. She is survived by their four children, Deborah (Dunkle) Jones and husband John F. Jones, of Staunton, Virginia David C. Dunkle of Everett Michael C. Dunkle and wife Janice (Rizer) Dunkle of Everett Stacey J. Dunkle and wife Regina (Taylor) Dunkle of Everett Ten grandchildren, a great-grandson and a brother James R. Cordell. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by a sister Betty Jo Cordell. Mrs. Dunkle attended the Everett Grace Brethren Church . A dedicated homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family, knitting and crocheting, and attending yard sales, Dixie will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her kind, soft spoken words that she loved to share with her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15th, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Melvin VanOrman officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
