Donna M. Diehl, 85, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2012. She was born April 1, 1927 in Liberty Township, a daughter of the late Jesse E. Smith and Edna V. (May) Smith. She was first married to Thomas Albert Wright on May 29, 1953, and on December 29, 1975 in Winchester, Virginia she married Webster Marvin Diehl who passed away on December 10, 1997. She is survived by her daughter Wanda Alice (Wright) Lesh and husband Ronald William Lesh, of Lutzville 2 grandchildren, Angela Nicole Lesh and fiancé Adam Dupler, of Charlotte, NC Kevin William Lesh and wife Maggie, of Statesville, NC a granddaughter-in-law, Adra Lesh, of Osterburg 3 great granddaughters, Ashley Nicole Defibaugh, at home Makailah Kay Barazotti, at home Koreena Sha Barazotti, at home and a stepdaughter Louise Pupo. She was preceded in passing away by a grandson Brian Alan Lesh on July 10, 2010, a great grandson Mason Barazotti on November 2, 2011, and two brothers-in-law, George Diehl and William "Willy" Diehl, her very close family friend. Mrs. Diehl was a long time, active member of the Pennwood Bible Church where she helped prepare Sunday school crafts, folded the monthly Church newsletter, and was active with many other Church events. For over 38 years, she worked as a hand seamstress at Lion Manufacturing in Everett until retiring. Donna was a member of the band "Country Praise" and numerous other bands, playing guitar and Dobro for local nursing home residents and for the Sheltered Workshop in Bedford, spreading Gods word to all. She never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone she met. Her love of the Lord showed through her friendships and the way she lived her life, blessing those that she met along the way with her love and kindness. At home, Donna enjoyed reading her Bible, baking pies, playing her music, entertaining family and friends, and spending time with her beloved pet dog Patches. She was the best Mother that a daughter could ever have; we were blessed to be able to call her "Mom." Donna's family would like to say "Thank You" to her wonderful neighbors who visited and helped her each day, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Floyd Rinehart and Rev. Dana Umbleby officiating.
