Doris Ruth (Weicht) Morse

Doris R. Morse, 84, of Everett was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 9th, 2012. She was born Monday, April 2, 1928 at her family home in East Providence Township, a daughter of the late Lester Wilson Weicht and Huldah (Karns) Weicht. On November 6th, 1948 in Cumberland, she married Milton L. Morse, Sr., who passed away on November 2nd, 1995. She is survived by their sons, Ronnie Morse, and wife Pam (Clark) Morse, of Clearville Milton Morse, Jr., of Clearville 9 grand children, 16 great-great children with a newborn on the way, A sister Hazel Reasy, of New Enterprise, A daughter-in-law Angie (Nelson) Vance and husband Weldon, of Artemas, And a son in law, Roger Dicken and wife Debbie of Clearville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by a great grandson Bradley Foor, a daughter Janet (Morse) Dicken, and 2 sons, Gary Morse and Johnny Morse. Mrs. Morse was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Clearville and attended the Clear Ridge Fellowship Church in her later years. She was an active member of the Chaneysville Senior Citizen Center where she enjoyed spending time with her friends and participating in Center activities. At home Doris was a devoted wife who enjoyed spending time with her husband bowling, painting his many woodcrafts that included wooded tulips, bears, geese and wishing wells, and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed keeping up the tradition of family and holiday gatherings and meals. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be truly missed by her family, as she was a best friend to them all. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Clifford D. Swankler officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Union Memorial Cemetery.
