Doris Jane (Miller) Price

Doris Jane (Miller) Price, 89, formerly of Everett, went to live with the Lord on October 12, 2021. She was born in Everett, the daughter of the late George Miller and Elsie (Jay) (Wolford) Miller, and the wife of the late Omer Lee Price.

 

Doris is survived by children, Cheryl (Price) Carlin and husband Leo Carlin of York, PA, and son Mark Price of Everett, PA; grandchildren, Erin Carlin, Melissa (Price) Parrish, Amber (Carlin) Mishkin, Mark Price Jr., Ciara (Samborn) Crumpler, Adam Carlin, Casey Samborn, and Price Samborn; great-grandchildren, Michael Parrish, Marlena Parrish, Shane Carlin, Henry Mishkin, Lilly Crumpler, Finn Carlin, Mirabel Mishkin, and Parker Price.

 

She was preceded in death by husband Omer Lee Price; daughters Carolyn Price, Janice (Price) Samborn and husband Daniel Samborn; parents Elsie and George Miller, sisters Ruth Miller, Betty (Miller) Kagarise, Grace (Miller) Hott, Joe Miller, Isaac Wolford, and Stanley Wolford.

 

Doris first attended the Pillar of Fire Church and then became a member of the Pennwood Bible Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She also attended Mount Union Church. After working at the Lion Sewing Factory for 18 years, she trained and certified as a healthcare aid and provided care for many area residents. In 2005, she moved to York, PA, to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed visiting her children, decorating her home, canning, sewing, caring for her pets, and gardening.
