Earl Beck Obituary

Earl R. Beck, 92, of Everett, passed away on Sunday, October 5th, 2014. He was born Wednesday, July 5th, 1922 at his family home in Chaneysville, a son of the late Earl Dean Beck and Estella Ray (Imes) Beck. He was first married to Daisy (McMillan) Beck, and then to Evelyn Beck, who both preceded him in passing away. He is survived by his son, Steven R. Beck and wife Peggy, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a daughter-in-law, Joyce Beck, of Bel Air, Maryland a granddaughter Jennifer Beck, of Baltimore and many loving nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to his parents and first and second wives, he was preceded in passing away by three sons, Earl Beck Jr., Wayne Beck, and Richard Beck; two sisters, Mabel (Beck) Ryan and Helen "Omi" (Beck) Zeppenfeld; and 2 brothers Willis Beck and Robert Beck. Mr. Beck attended Everett High School and served in the United States Army during World War II in the Asiatic Theater, and in the Korean War at the 38th Parallel, South Korea. He was employed with Martin Aircraft/Boeing Aircraft in Philadelphia as a parts expediter until retiring. He was an avid reader and historian who will be greatly missed. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, on Wednesday, October 8th, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Chaneysville Community Church on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 am and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Chaneysville Methodist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Earl to the Southampton Historical Society, Chaneysville, 241 Millers Corner Road, Clearville PA 15535.
