Obituary
Elizabeth "Libby" A. Grubb, 72, of Everett, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022.
She was born on Friday, December 2, 1949, in Everett, a daughter of the late Harry Edwards, Jr. and Caroline (Sparks) Edwards.
In addition to her parents, Libby was preceded in passing by a stepmother, Naomi Edwards, and a brother, Jerry Smyers.
She is survived by a son, Jonathan Edwards of South Carolina; two daughters, Jennifer McDermott-Grubb and wife, June of Pittsburgh, and Julianna Wert of Everett; and two grandchildren, Odessa McDermott-Grubb and Naomi Wert.
Libby graduated from Everett Area High School and received her associate degree in nursing. After college, she worked as a registered nurse at Bedford Memorial Hospital, Donahoe Manor, and was a teacher at Bedford County Technical Center and Allegany College of Maryland.
Elizabeth, or more commonly known as Libby, touched the lives of many patients, students, and peers over her lifetime. Her grandchildren were her world and she loved spending time with them, especially hiding Easter eggs every year. She also loved going to the beach with her family.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
