Fay Morton Obituary
Fay J. (Young) Morton, 92, of Medway, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 after a period of declining health.
She was born Thursday, September 16th, 1926 at her family home in Hopewell, a daughter of the late Henry Milton Young and Ella (Ford) Young.
On September 3rd, 1946 in Cumberland, she married Charles Vernon Morton who passed away on October 20th, 1999.
She is survived by their daughter Sandra Bennett and her husband Benjamin Bennett of Medway, Massachusetts,
Three granddaughters,
Charlotte Reeves and husband Bill Reeves of New Jersey,
Tracy Bennett Stewart of Medway,
Pamela Ajello and husband Nateon Ajello of California,
A grandson, James Messina of New Jersey,
Five great grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Rachel Reeves, Amanda Reeves, Brenna Stewart, Francesca Ajello and Abigail Ajello and she did her best to keep track of more than 40 nieces and nephews spread throughout Pennsylvania and other parts of the country.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by her daughter Charlotte Messina, an infant brother Kenneth Young and six brothers and sisters, Walter Young, Jesse G. Young, Cyril Young, Gladys Hall, Ruth Boor, and Sue McFarland.
Fay was employed as a bank teller at several banks in the Medway and Springfield area until retiring to Loysburg with her husband, Vernon. After his passing, she moved back to Medway to be closer to her family.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and watching the Red Sox and Patriots and always made certain we all knew when a game was being played. Her real enjoyment came with visits from her great-granddaughters whether it be to help her with chores or just to visit.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, 22 West Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Melvin Van Orman officiating.
