Gail Doreen (Strait) Lewis

Gail D. Lewis 67, of Everett, PA, passed away on July 5, 2024.

 

She was born in Everett, PA, on September 29, 1956, a daughter of the late James and Thelma (Snowden) Strait.

 

Gail is survived by two sons, John Lewis and girlfriend Marsha, and William Lewis and wife Alissa; a daughter, Amanda Bowers and husband Justin; three sisters, Faye Strait, Janice Strait, and Carrie Colledge; a brother, Jimmy Strait and wife Deb; 11 grandchildren, Robert, Dakota and girlfriend Mary, and Jaden Bush, Allen, Octavious, Kyisha, Jasmine, Damion Lewis and girlfriend Diana, Aaliyah, Brooklyn and Tiana Bowers; and one great-grandson, Matthew.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by an ex-husband; Granny Alberta Ludwig; a daughter, Misty Bush Lewis; and two sisters, Connie Windows and Carol Russell.                   

 

Gail graduated from Northern Bedford County High School. After graduation, she worked at Perkins Restaurant in Breezewood for many years.

 

In her free time, she enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time outside.

 

Gail loved her family very much and cherished the time she spent with them going to family cookouts and birthday parties.

 

A memorial service will be held at Shawnee State Park at a later date.
