Gary Elbin Obituary

Gary L. Elbin, 70, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 14th 2017. He was born Sunday, June 15th, 1947 at his family home in Mann Township, a son of the late Stewart R. Elbin and Vera (Miller) Elbin. On September 7th, 1985 he married Louise E. (Kelly) Elbin who passed away on Saturday, February 4th, 2006. He is survived by her children, Norma J. Grimes of Saxton, Louann (Hafer) Feight, May Marie Hafer, Neal F. Hafer, Jr., Jack L. Hafer, Danny L. Hafer, Donald E. Hafer and Kenny T. Hafer, A sister Mildred Sipes of Clearville, A brother Glenn R. Elbin of Hagerstown, A special friend and caregiver Jane Beegle of Clearville and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Mr. Elbin was a member of the Clear Ridge Fellowship Church. In his younger years he worked with his family at their Mann Township farm, later working as a Mann Township Supervisor for twelve years. He then accepted a position with the maintenance department at Kennametal where he was employed for eight years until retiring. At home, Gary enjoyed gardening, was an avid football and NASCAR racing fan, and will be remembered as a kind person who was always willing lend a hand to his family and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor John Bennett officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
