Genevieve (Megahan) Struckman

Genevieve M. Struckman, 91, of Oreland, previously of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 29th, 2013. She was born Friday, December 23rd, 1921 in Williamsburg, a daughter of the late Lester Megahan and Carrie (Larkin) Megahan. On January 16, 1949 she married Herbert M. "Herb" Struckman who passed away on April 21st, 1995. She is survived by their children, Herbert M. Struckman, Jr., and wife Virginia, of Oreland Lisa K. Harshberger, and husband Thomas, of Smyrna, Delaware 5 grandchildren, Michelle (Struckman) Browne Carrie (Struckman) Stumpf Laura Struckman Kelly Harshberger Joseph Harshberger 4 great grandchildren, Ava Stumpf Annelies Stumpf Nathan Browne Arriel Immel 2 sisters, Lois (Megahan) Sollenberger, of Clearville, Shirley (Megahan) Oaks of Catonsville, Maryland and a brother, Ronald Megahan and wife Claudia, of Levittown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by two brothers, Gerald Megahan and John Megahan. Mrs. Struckman was a member of the First Christian Church in Everett and a graduate of Williamsburg High School. For over 30 years she was employed an cashier at the First National Bank in Everett, now Susquehanna Bank, until retiring. Genevieve enjoyed traveling with her family to the coast where she could go for walks on the beach, and at home was always willing to lend a hand with the operations of her husbands automobile repair shop at their home. She was an avid ready who enjoyed watching movies, tending to her roses, and caring for her family and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2nd, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Robert R. Robertson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
