Gerald H. "Jerry" Leeds, 72, of Everett, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, with his family by his side. He was born January 14, 1939, in Atlantic City, New Jersey a son of the late Harold Leslie Leeds, and Dorothy Eleanor (Conover) Leeds. On December 17, 1962 in Elkton MD, he married Joanne V. (Sente) Leeds, who survives along with their children Duane E. Leeds of Pleasantville NJ, and Donna M. Leeds of Milmay, NJ. A sister Shirley Golden & husband Drew of Oceanville NJ. Numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry attended the Mount Pisgah AME Zion Church in Bedford and served in the United States Navy. He worked in the printing industry for most of his life in Absecon, NJ., before retiring to Everett where he worked as a plumber. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and gardening. Gerald especially loved caring for his two special pets, a horse "Buddy" and cat "Mikey". He was always willing to lend a helping hand as a Red Cross Volunteer, and a member of the State Animal Response Team. He served as a member and past President of the Everett Lion's Club, winning the Melvin Jones Fellow Humanitarian Award. He was a loving husband, father, and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
