Gerald Slattery Obituary
Gerald H. "Jerry" Slattery, 84, of Bedford, passed away at home on Monday, July 27th, 2020 surrounded by family.
He was born Tuesday, April 7th, 1936 in Los Angeles, California and is survived by his wife Joyce, was father to 12 children, grandfather to their 25 children and great grandfather to their 12 children.
Jerry work for Bell Telephone company for 33 years and also worked at Clark Forklifts, both of California, until retiring.
After traveling and planting roots in Pennsylvania, he served as Mayor of Manns Choice for 3 months, and then began working for the Manns Choice - Harrison Township Joint Municipal Authority for 20 years until full retirement at age 82, and also had served for 12 years with the United States Navy Reserves.
Jerry was and amazing man who lived life to the fullest and always put his family and his faith in God above all else. He will be greatly missed and at his request, his family will have a celebration of life service with family and friends at a later date.
