Glenda R. (Layton) Riley

Glenda R. (Layton) Riley, 57, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14th 2013. She was born Friday, September 14th 1956 at Nason Hospital in Roaring Springs, a daughter of the late Ivan I. Layton and Amy (Corrie) Layton, and of her foster parents, the late Ralph Bowser and Amy Bloom. She is survived by her daughter Marlena Riley, and granddaughter Candy, of Bedford, her fiancé Jack Tate, of Everett, two sisters, Sandra Wilson of Huntington, and Dorothy Vandyke of Drifting, a brother, Gary Julian, of Robertsdale, her former husband, Paul Riley, of Bedford, and many more loving and caring sisters, brothers, foster sisters and brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and their families. Glenda was a graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School Class of 1975, and was a kind and caring person who always put the needs of others first. Having never met a stranger, iIt was a delight to spend time with her, especially as she cheered on her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, played bingo, Skippo, and spent time with her pet dog Bear. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 2th7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Everett Fire Company Fire Hall with a time for sharing memories and a meal after the service. Friends may call at the Fire Hall on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com.
