Grace C. (Masciocchi) Facchinei

Grace C. Facchinei, 87, of Everett, passed away on Monday, December 9th, 2013 with family at her side. She was born Friday, May 21st, 1926 in Dudley, a daughter of the late Angelo Masciocchi and Cesarina (Del Sole) Masciocchi. On September 9th, 1950 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford, she married Joseph Cardine Facchinei, who passed away on August 16th, 1998. She is survived by their children, Cela Shearer and Jim Foster of Bedford Joseph C. Facchinei and Sally Facchinei, of Franklin, Tennessee Vincent A. Facchinei and wife Angela (Allen) Facchinei, of Shippensburg Six grandchildren, Ryan Whetstone of Pittsburgh Angeline May of Bedford Andrea Martinez of Boynton Beach, Florida Rhiannon Facchinei of Franklin, Tennessee Joseph Facchinei of Shippensburg Madelyn Facchinei of Shippensburg Four great grandchildren, Olivia, Van, Chloe, and Ari Two brothers, Anthony Masciocchi and wife Tina of Everett, and Alfred "Fred" Masciocchi of Rome, Italy, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by and infant sister Mary, two sisters Mary Harclerode and Vera Reed, and a brother Luigi Masciocchi Mrs. Facchinei was a founding member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Everett where she was active in many Church activities as a member of the Ladies of St. Johns. After graduating from high school, Grace earned her associates degree in Home Economics from Mt. Aloysius College. She was a homemaker who also modeled hats for Eleanor Dress Shop in Bedford and Betty's Fashions in Everett, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting, working crossword puzzles and reading novels, gardening, cooking and baking and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother sister and friend who was devoted to caring for her home and family. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 13th, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Everett, with Rev. Derek Fairman officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Friday from 10:00 am until departure for the Church, and share memories online at dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
