Harold Ray Crawford Sr.

Harold Ray Crawford, Sr., 74 of District Heights, Maryland, formerly of Everett, passed away on Friday, November 25th, 2016. He was born Wednesday, December 31st, 1941 a son of the late Harold O. Crawford and Mary M. (Morris) Crawford. He is survived by his 3 children, Jim L. Crawford and wife Karen (Davis) Crawford of Alum Bank, Harold Ray Crawford, Jr. and wife Jessica Lynn (Payne) Crawford of District Heights, Maryland, Mary K. Crawford of Masontown, West Virginia, Ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren with a great-grandson on the way, Two sisters, Dorothy (Crawford) Donivan and Donna M. Henry and husband Raymond Henry of Rockwood, Two brothers, Gary L. Crawford and wife Audrey Crawford of Mechanicsburg and Dale F. Crawford of Everett, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by a nephew Dale Lee Crawford, a sister Betty Lou, a sister-in-law Bonnie Lee (Felton) Crawford and a brother-in-law Delmer D. Donivan. A graduate of Everett Joint Southern High School, Ray first worked at the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company in Cumberland. In the early 1970's, he and his family moved to Maryland where he worked as a stock clerk at the Coop Food Store until retiring, later returning to work as a stock clerk for the Shopper's Food Warehouse in Tacoma Park, Maryland. An avid outdoorsman, Ray would always be the first angler out in the spring for fishing, and the first man out in fall for hunting season, patiently waiting for the perfect trophy doe or buck. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends in the Everett and District Height areas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Chaplain Bruce Maxwell officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Milligan's Cove Christian Cemetery.
