Hattie L. Clark, 96, of Everett, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012. She was born March 31, 1916 in Rosslyn Kentucky, a daughter of the late Joseph "Joe" Morton and Minnie (Bratton) Morton. She was first married to Elbert C. Ross who passed away, and on April 24, 1976 she married Clad D. Clark who passed away on July 14, 1998. She is survived by 3 grandchildren, Patricia Hiller and husband Nathan Hiller, of Ocala, Florida Billy Ross, of Baltimore, MD Robert Ross of Baltimore, MD a step daughter, Sherry A. Verbal and husband Robert N. Verbal, of Everett 4 step granddaughters, Kimberly Calhoun and husband Jeff Calhoun, of Bedford Vicki Shank and husband Joseph Shank, of Everett Cheryl Shank and husband Jim Shank, of Everett Holly Mountain and husband Mark Mountain, of Everett and many loving great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing away by her son, Roger Douglas Ross on June 6, 2011, a sister, Emma L. Karper, and 2 brothers, Richard C. Morton and Allen B. Morton. After her marriage to Elbert, Hattie enjoyed caring for her family, raising her son and two nephews, sons of her brother Richard. She then worked as a cafeteria cook at a school for the blind until her marriage to Clad, moving to Everett to spend time with her family here. Hattie enjoyed her time at home, always ready with a cup of coffee and a listening ear to help her family and friends with a question or problem. She will be remembered for her friendly and happy ways and the goodness she found in everyone. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date with burial to be held at Union Memorial Cemetery.
