Helen Miller Obituary

Helen E. Miller, 84, of Hollidaysburg, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020.

She was born April 18th, 1936 in Bellwood, a daughter of the late John Clyde Waite and Bernadine (Hostler) Waite.

On July 21st, 1956 in Winchester, she married Clyde E. "Ed" Miller who passed away on July 15th, 2014.

She is survived by their son, Richard K. "Rick" Miller of Omer, Michigan,

Four grandchildren,
Ashley E. Hinkle and husband Brian D. Hinkle of Roaring Spring,
Katie G. Talbert and husband Matthew T. Talbert of Williamsburg,
Eric R. Miller of Hemlock, Michigan,
Angela Nelkie and husband Andrew Nelkie of Tawas, Michigan,

10 great-grandchildren, Noah Hinkle, Logan Hinkle, Braden Hinkle, Emily Hinkle, Harley Talbert, Hunter Talbert, Hayden Talbert, Brendan Nelkie, Hollan Nelkie and Ethan Nelkie.

A son-in-law William A. Yoder of Everett, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by a daughter Susan K. "Suzie" Yoder, daughter-in-law Holly (Timreck) Miller, three sisters, Elenora Payne, Elsie Shutt and Marcella Smith, and 5 brothers, Thomas Waite, John Waite, Stanley Waite, Russell Waite and Rev. Norman "Todd" Waite.

Mrs. Miller was a devoted member of the Riggles Gap Bible Church, and with her love of our Lord, was a member of the church choir, served as a caretaker in the Church's nursery, and enjoyed participating in the church's Jolly 60's.

Earlier in her lifetime, she was employed at Servomation Vending Company, The Williamsburg Cove Manor and at The Meadows Frozen Custard. She was also an active volunteer with the American Red Cross and with the fundraising event "Share-A-Thon" and Sunshine Joys Club for WJSM Christian radio station.

Helen truly loved her family, especially spending time with her great grandchildren, and also enjoyed babysitting for her neighbors the Biter's. Working puzzle books and eating out at the Cracker Barrel were her favorite past times.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 15th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Riggles Gap Bible Church, 613 Lear Road, Altoona, PA 16601 with Pastor William Ice officiating.

Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com.

Private burial will be held at Alto-Reste Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's name to WJSM Radio, 724 Rebecca Furnace Road, Martinsburg, Pa. 16662
