Ila Bollman Obituary
Ila J. Bollman, 86, of Breezewood, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 5th, 2019.
She was born Saturday, July 2nd, 1932 in Breezewood, a daughter of the late Theodore M. Calhoun and Nellie E. (Layton) Calhoun.
On November 4th, 1950 she married Robert A. "Bob" Bollman who passed away on July 13th, 1983.
She is survived by their daughter, Sherry L. Miller and husband James L. Miller of Everett,
A granddaughter Tisa L. Vincent and husband Bradley S. Weyant of Imler,
Two great-grandsons, Ray M. Vincent of Hopewell and Brenden L. Goldizen of Tyrone,
A great great-grandson Gabriel L. Goldizen,
A brother Guy M. Calhoun of Bedford,
Three sisters-in-law, Ruby L. (Fink) Calhoun of Everett, Donna R. (Leader) Calhoun of Breezewood, Olive F. (Deremer) Calhoun of Schellsburg, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by three brothers, Albert F. Calhoun, Nile E. Calhoun and Roy E. Calhoun and a sister-in-law Mary Agnes (Waltman) Calhoun.
Mrs. Bollman was a member of the Union Memorial Christian Church and a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1950. In her early years, she worked as a waitress at the Wildwood Inn at its original location near Breezewood and was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed all kinds of music, especially music of the 1950's. She also enjoyed reading poems about the "good old days," relaxing on her back porch swing and watching a beautiful sunset.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 9th, 2019 at 1:00 pm at in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, 22 West Main Street, Everett with Pastor Patrick Traxler officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Union Memorial Cemetery with a reception to follow at Woodbush Community Center..
