Iva Jean Alice (Conover) Wright

Iva Jean A. Wright, 93, of Everett, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

 

She was born in Everett, PA, on March 3,1931, a daughter of the late Ross Conover and Lucy (Hoffman) Conover.

 

On April 30,1949, she married Charles Wright, Jr. who passed away on June 4, 2009.

 

Jean is survived by four children, Jim and wife Bunny Wright of Virginia, Janet and husband Cary Lingenfelter of Everett, PA, Mark Wright of Bedford, PA, and John Wright of Indiana; 11 grandchildren, David and wife Dr. Julie Wright, Kevin and wife Courtney Wright, Jason and wife Betsy Wright, Brian and wife Samantha Wright, Dr. Jeff and wife Helen Wright, Micah and wife Sarah Lingenfelter, Rene Lingenfelter, Alicia and husband Kyle Pollic, Chad and wife Nicole Wright, Keith Wright, and Eric and wife Gabby Wright; 15 great-grandchildren, Emily and Jackson Wright, Clayton and Easton Wright, Landon and Brookson Wright, Penny Wright, Henry and Cora Wright, Emma, Eli, and Zach Lingenfelter, Lyanna and Kalen Pollic, and Kelsie Brainard, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in passing by infant brother, Elmer Conover; five brothers, John, Harry, Willis, Paul and Don Conover; and a sister, Virginia Hite.

 

After high school, Jean worked as a housekeeper for Best Western for many years until her retirement. During her working years, she cleaned and organized many guest rooms. She maintained a pleasant atmosphere with her tidiness and meticulous cleaning standards throughout the facility ensuring that all guests were properly served.

 

Jean loved spending quality time with her family. That time gave her many opportunities to strengthen her bond with them. She taught her children the meaning of hard work not only in definition, but by the way she lived her life. Jean gave them experiences they will remember and cherish all their lives. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, traveling with her family, and being a part of her church family.

 

Jean touched numerous lives creating memories that will last a lifetime. She was truly loved by many and will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Donelson Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Manges officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Donelson Funeral Home and an hour before the service on Friday.

 

Burial will be at Bedford County Memorial Park.
