James Reid

James "Jim" Reid, 80, of Clearville, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 25th, 2015. He was born Sunday, June 23rd, 1935 in Asheville, North Carolina, a son of the late John Greene Reid and Bertha Viola (Gentry) Reid. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Williams and husband Kenneth Williams of Clearville, Three sons, James "Jimmy" Reid and girlfriend Wendy Weicht of Lenoir, North Carolina Daniel "Boone" Miller and wife Melanie (Graybill) Miller of Bedford Brian Miller and wife Wendy (Griffith) Miller of Bedford, Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by his former wife Christine (Beegle) Reid, a sister Hazel (Reid) Campbell and a brother Dennis Reid. Jim was a farmer for many years and then worked as a heavy equipment operator for H.B. Mellott Company until retiring. He enjoyed hunting turkey, deer and bear and will be remembered for his kind heart and wonderful sense of humor.
