Jean Truax Obituary
Jean Truax, 82, of Breezewood, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 19th, 2020 from home with her family at her side.
She was born on Friday, August 27th, 1937 at her family home in East Providence Township, a daughter of the late Mason R. Ramsey and Hilda M. (Hinish) Ramsey.
On January 15th, 1953 in Winchester, Virginia she married William Lee Truax who passed away on May 13th, 1984.
She is survived by their two daughters,
Shelby Markle of Breezewood,
Sherry Hinish and husband John Hinish of Breezewood,
Five grandchildren,
Shonda Clark and husband Chad Clark,
Derrin Markle and companion Angie Thomas,
Shanda Hinish,
Derrick Hinish and companion Jessica Diehl,
Daylan Hinish and companion Alex Shearer,
Eleven great-grandchildren, Bryer Hinish, Shayna Clark, Dylan Clark and wife Sadie, Kyle Price, Rieder Fox, Sierra Fox, Kenzi Hinish, Jaicey Hinish, Eli Hinish, Case Hinish, and McCormick Hinish,
Three sisters,
Fern Sipes of Everett; Theola Miller and husband Frank Miller, III, of Breezewood; Bonnie Kalathas and husband Tony Kalathas, of St. Thomas,
Three brothers, Leo Ramsey and wife Mary Edna (Fink) Ramsey of Breezewood; Randy Ramsey and wife Rebecca (Wigfield) Ramsey of Hopewell; Gary Ramsey of Breezewood,
Two sister-in-law, Nancy (Sheeder) Ramsey of Breezewood, and Vera (Calhoun) Ramsey of Crystal Spring,
A brother-in-law Paul Greenawalt,
and two special little girls, Gracie Sweeney and Zaelyn Sweeney, who visited her often.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by a great-granddaughter Shayla Jean Clark, an infant sister Sarah, two infant brothers, Marvin and Ronald Ramsey, one sister-in-law, Linda Ramsey, three sisters, Vickie Ramsey, Norma Feight and her husband Robert Feight, and Lorraine Greenawalt, two brothers, Virgil Ramsey and Rodney Ramsey, and two nephews, Ryan Snyder and Shane Ramsey.
Jean was a member of the Mountain Chapel Brethren In Christ Church who enjoyed bible study at home, cooking and baking, spending time with her family, and could not miss an episode of Family Feud. She will be remembered for her loving ways, her willingness to lend a hand, and always leaving you with a smile and a prayer.
