John E. Eller

John E. Eller, 81, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 22nd, 2013. He was born Wednesday, October 7th, 1931 in Everett, a son of the late Robert A. Eller and Mabel F. (Border) Eller. On October 6th, 1952 in Cumberland, he married Shirley L. (Kane) Eller who survives along with their children, Michael T. Eller, of Lancaster Beth E. Dering, and husband David Dering, of Conestoga Tim S. Eller an wife Carole (Viette) Eller of Columbia David S. Eller, and wife Michele (Loht) Eller, of Mountville Five grandchildren, Michael Paul, Matthew, Jennifer Lynn, Cameron and Logan, 7 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Helen Winovich and husband Donald Winovich, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and Zana Housel and husband Ronald Housel, of Everett. He was preceded in passing away by an infant son, a son John R. Eller, a granddaughter Jennifer Lark Eller and a brother Robert Eller. Mr. Eller attended the Tatesville United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1950. After graduation, John worked as an equipment operator stripping coal in Somerset, later working at the Everett Dry Cleaners and then worked for the Federal Government aboard the Hyde Ship, dredging the waters along our eastern coast. After moving to New Jersey, he then began his lifelong career as an owner and operator of his own finish carpentry company. At home he enjoyed golfing, trout fishing, hunting small game and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who devoted his life to spending time with his family. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 25th, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Richard Fluke officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Thursday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
