Joyce A. Slattery 85, of Bedford, PA, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

She was born on August 15, 1936, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, a daughter of the late Noble Ward and Julia (Smith) Ward.

On July 3, 1983, in Hacienda Heights, California, she married Gerald Slattery.

She is survived by five sons, Frank W. Ward and wife Tante, Manns Choice, Jay T. Sheely and wife Tracey, Palmdale, CA, Dale L. Golden and wife Yvonne, San Dimas, CA, John C. Golden, Troy, OH, and Jerome C. Golden, San Luis Obispo, CA, and four daughters, Joanne L. wife of George Toice, Alum Bank, Gale L. wife of Thomas Walters, San Bernardino, CA, Anna M. Krigbaum, Bedford, and Nancy Krstich, Barberton, OH, 20 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in passing by a brother Noble Ward, a great grandson, Trevon Ward, and a son-in-law Jeff Krstich.

After high school Joyce worked as a waitress for many years until her retirement.

She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and loved them dearly.
