Junior "Big Boy" Smith

Junior "Big Boy" Smith, 74, of Clearville, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19th, 2015. He was born Saturday, July 12th, 1941 at his family home in Clearville, a son of the late Earnest Oscar Smith and Alice Virginia (Lewis) Smith. He is survived by three sisters, Mary E. Smith of Clearville Helen G. Smith of Clearville, Minnie P. Krupiec and husband Michael Krupiec of Wantage, New Jersey A brother Arthur Smith and wife Linda of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia and many caring friends and their families. Junior was a graduate of Everett Southern Joint High School, Class of 1961. After graduation, Big Boy, as he was known to his friends and family, worked at a sawmill in Clearville, then worked as a roofer and also farmed with his family at their Clearville home. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Garden Club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and couldn't pass up attending an auction. He will be remembered as a caring man, a man who would take in many wondering cats before letting that cat be put to sleep. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 26th, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Jonas Smith officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
