Kenneth Allison, 87, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 11th, 2014 from the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. He was born Saturday, October 16th, 1926 at his family home in Geistown, Johnstown, a son of the late Raymond Allison and Isa (Harbaugh) Allison. In April of 1985 he married Theresa V. (McFarland) Maniscalco Allison who passed away on Sunday October 1st, 2006. He is survived by a daughter, Nellie J. Timko, of Bedford A grandson Joseph Timko and wife Lori (Wiederhut) Timko, of Harrisburg A granddaughter Jessica Timko, of Bedford Two sisters-in-law, Ruth Allison, of Indiana; Nellie Allison of Johnstown And many loving nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in passing away by and infant brother Wilbur Clark, two sisters, Madeline Berkey and her husband Wade, Olive Berkebile and her husband Melvin; and three brothers, Paul Allison and his wife Louise, Roy Allison and Edward "Dean" Allison. Mr. Allison was a member of the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church. In his early years, he worked with his family at their farm in Geistown, and then served in the United States Army during World War II as a Surgical Technician with the 86th Infantry Division receiving the Philippine Independence Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. After returning home from his service to his country, Kenny was employed at Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown as a crane operator until retiring. He then enjoyed spending time with his friends at LaSalle's Garage in Everett, lending a hand with cleaning up, assisting on towing calls, or picking up repair parts when needed. He will be greatly missed for the many stories he had to tell and the company he shared with his family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett with Pastor H. Lee Ritchey officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday the 22nd from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Bedford County memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kenny to your charity of choice.
