Lamont P. "Monte" Taylor Sr.

Lamont P. Taylor, Sr., 69, of Breezewood, passed away on Tuesday, March 27th, 2017. He was born Tuesday, February 17th, 1948 in Bedford, a son of the late Roy Taylor and Velma (Weist) Taylor. He was married to Sharon E. (Teeters) Taylor who passed away on May 3rd, 2015 and is survived by their children, Lamont P. Taylor, Jr., and wife Angela (Ritchey) Taylor of Everett, Dana A. (Taylor) Bradish and husband John Bradish of Louisville, Tennessee, April G. Sloan and partner Mark Swinea of Hanover, Six grandchildren, a great-granddaughter with another great-grandchild on the way, and a brother, Eldon R. Taylor and wife Lida W. (Warsing) Taylor of Everett. Lamont attended Everett Southern Joint High School and his first job was working for Richard Chiappelli at the Breezewood Garage repairing cars and towing. With a few jobs in between, he then worked for Fayetteville Contractors Inc. until retiring. At home he enjoyed mowing grass and caring for lawn and spending time with a few pet dogs over the years. A loving father and grandfather, Lamont will be remembered for the hard work he put forth for a better life for his family.
