Lillie Ruby Noel, 98, of Colonial Courtyard at Bedford, a lifelong resident of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013. She was born Friday, July 17th, 1914 at her family home in Southampton Township, a daughter of the late Joseph Miller and Laura (Redinger) Smith. On May 24th, 1932 she married Hughie Russell Ruby who passed away on August 29th, 1988, then on November 8th, 1996 she married Kenneth M. Noel who passed away on July 6th, 2005. She is survived by 3 children, Phyllis L. Tewell, and Lee DeCooman, of Chaneysville Thelma D. Grove Bowman, and husband Merrit Bowman, of Clearville Richard L. Ruby and wife Josine (Lane) Ruby of Everett A sister Ella Bussard, of Everett A brother William Smith and wife Mildred, of Everett, 8 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren 17 great great-grandchildren and a great great great-granddaughter with whom Mrs. Noel was able to experience the joy of six generations of her family. She was preceded in passing away by a son Kenneth R. Ruby, his wife Betty Lou Ruby who passed away in May of this year, three sisters Myrtle Bennett, Etta Roberts, Delaphine Ritchey, and three brothers, Ralph Smith, Blaine Smith and Donald Smith. Mrs. Noel was member of the Everett Assembly of God and previously was a member of the El Bethel Assembly of God. Early in her lifetime, Lillie began working with her family at their Southampton farm, and then worked as a hand seamstress at Lion Manufacturing in Everett for nearly 30 years until retiring. After retiring, she worked as a housekeeper for several families in the Everett area, and on her own time enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, cooking and canning, and will be greatly missed for her keen wit, her loving ways and being a true friend to her family. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 7th, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor John W. Wiley and Pastor Edward Schaidt officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Mt. Zion Christian Cemetery.
