Lois V. Redinger, 76, of Clearville, passed away on Sunday, July 21st, 2013. She was born Monday, August 31st, 1936 at her family home in Chaneysville, a daughter of the late Christopher Brockey and Lula (Ratcliff) Brockey, and was married to Herman E. Redinger , Jr., who passed away on May 7th, 1986. She is survived by their son, Monte E. Redinger, Sr., and wife Sharon (Knisely) Redinger, of Clearville A brother, Chris Brockey and wife Dolores (Smith) Brockey, of Clearville Two grandsons, Monte E. Redinger, Jr., and Brandy, of Clearville and Scott E. Redinger of Clearville, Three great grandchildren, Kaden, Darren and Monte III, A niece, Tammy (Brockey) Monkman And three nephews Timmy Reed, Danny Reed and Gary Brockey. She was preceded in passing away by a sister, Phyllis (Brockey) Reed in 1981. Mrs. Redinger was a member of the Chaneysville Community Church, having also been a member of the Church when it was the Chaneysville Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Everett Southern Joint High School Class of 1954, and after gradation began working as a cook at the newly built Chaneysville-Cove Elementary School. She was also a driver for Redinger Van Service, bringing children in the Chaneysville area to school. Lois also worked as a waitress at the Surf Room in Everett, at the Greenland Lodge and Cabins in Wolfsburg, at the Oak Ridge Restaurant in Osterburg, at Mason's Barn and JB's Steak Cellar in Cumberland and at San Carlo's Restaurant in York, and most recently was a cashier for SAC Oil in Everett. At home, Lois enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, cooking and baking, and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed for her caring ways. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27th, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Chaneysville Community Church with Pastor Jonas Smith officiating Family and friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the hour of service, and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com..
