Lottie LaRue (Morris) Grimes

Lottie LaRue Grimes, 71, of Clearville, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 27, 2011. She was born May 30, 1940 at her family home in Monroe Township, a daughter of the late Leonard M. Morris and Chrystal A. (Amick) Morris. On August 23, 1957 in Winchester, VA, she married Robert D. Grimes, who survives along with their sons, Kevin D. Grimes, and wife Cherie (Barkman) Grimes, of Clearville L. Robin "Robbie" Grimes, of Clearville Patrick B. Grimes, of Clearville 6 grandchildren, Justin Grimes and wife Brandi Bradley Grimes, and wife Casey Tyler Grimes Zachary Grimes Kelli Hall & husband Curtis, Wesley Grimes A great granddaughter, Rylee Grimes A great grandson, Colten Grimes, And a brother LuRay Morris, and wife Arritta (Bennett) Morris, of Berea, KY Mrs. Grimes was a lifelong member of the Clearville United Methodist Church where she was a pianist for Sunday services, a Sunday School teacher, and also helped in Church activities with the women of the Methodist Church. After high school, Lottie was a seamstress at Lion Manufacturing for over 25 years, and then was a seamstress at S. Schwab & Company in Cumberland, MD. She then worked as a clerk at the Rite-Aid in Everett, and later a greeter at Wal-Mart until retiring. At home she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and like to work in her flower gardens, enjoyed playing the piano, and was a patient and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. Jay A. Saxe officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Thursday from 10:00 am until the hour of service, and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Clearville Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lottie to the Clearville Union Cemetery Association, 398 Frame Church Road, Clearville, PA 15535 or to the American Cancer Society - Bedford/Blair Unit, 1004 North Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
