Louis C. "Louie" Lomagro

Louis "Louie" Lomagro, 80, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, February 24th, 2016 with family and friends at his side. He was born Saturday, November 23rd, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Michael Lomagro and Evelyn (Kulacki) Lomagro. He is survived by his son Louis D. Lomagro, a daughter Tammy A. Lomagro, Three sisters, Geraldine Costello, Dolores "Doe" Kashewka, Rita Lomagro, A brother Michael Lomagro Two grandchildren Amanda Culp and John Seitz Two great granddaughters Jayla Culp and Summer Seitz, And many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by a sister Kathleen "Kitty" Lomagro Louie first worked with his parents at their family owned general store and then worked construction for many years doing everything from shingling roofs to installing flooring and anything in between. He then worked at Bethlehem Sparrows Point Shipyard as a truck driver for 12 years until moving to Hopewell, continuing to drive for Seaton Trucking, also working in lawn maintenance and owned and operated Lou's Crab House until retiring. He was a member of the Bloody Run Social Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Louie enjoyed traveling in his younger years attending fairs and fundraising events, and was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking a five-mile walk everyday. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and will be remembered for always being willing to lend a helping hand. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 13th, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Lomagro Family Home in Hopewell with Pastor John Bennett officiating.
