Mabel R. Wallace, 92, of Hesston, a lifelong resident of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 15th, 2014. She was born Tuesday, January 17th, 1922 at her family home in Everett, a daughter of the late Daniel Pepple and Nellie (Mellott) Pepple. On October 6th, 1940 in Three Springs, she married Sheldon R. Runk who passed away on November 28th, 1949. On May 9th, 1955 at the Everett Church of the Brethren, she married Paul W. Wallace who passed away on June 27th, 1968. She is survive by a son, Dennis D. Runk of Lock Haven, a daughter Gale D. McCormick and husband Charles "Chuck" McCormick, of Hesston, formerly or Everett, Three grandchildren, Jon, Michael and Holly, A loving niece Carol Bennett, and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing away by 2 daughters Judith Ann Runk and Paula Ann (Wallace) Donaldson, a sister Cora Reed, a brother Earl Pepple, and two nephews, Kenneth Reed and Dennis Pepple. Mrs. Wallace was a member of the Everett Church of the Brethren, The Degree of Pocahontas Tatamy Council #7 and was a member of the Everett Happy Senior Citizens until moving to Hesston. Earlier in her lifetime she worked for Dr. Nycum at his office in Everett as an office and nursing assistant, and for over 28 years was employed as a presser at Lion Manufacturing in Everett until retiring. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18th, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett with Pastor Beverly Swindell officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
