Mae Means Obituary

Mae Isabelle Means, 77, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2013. She was born Wednesday, December 4th, 1935 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Manges) Foor. On August 8, 1954 she married Ralph L. Means who passed away in March of 2006. She is survived by their sons, Randy L. Means of Bedford and his special friend Gale Karns, of Bedford Michael A. Means and wife Tracey (Foor) Means, of Everett A daughter in law, Pamela (Morgret) Means, of Bedford Eight grandchildren, Melissa Zell and husband Kevan Zell, Jessica Marsh and husband Eric Marsh, Joe Means and wife Amanda (Jezeskie) Means, Scott Means and wife Lynnett (Canchola) Means, Jennifer Miller and husband Danny Miller, Rebecca Clark and husband Brandon Clark, Alyssa Butts and husband Shaun Butts, and Tanner Means, 24 great grandchildren with whom she loved to spend time, a sister, Anna Jean Defibaugh, of Everett Four brothers, Robert Foor and wife Joanne, of Bedford Ted Foor, and wife Cathy, of Bedford Charles "June" Foor and wife Alice, of Bedford Roy Foor, of Bedford and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. She was preceded in passing away by an infant son Kevin, a son Terry L. Means in March of 2012, a sister Betty Robinette and a brother Harry Foor. Mrs. Means was a founding member of the Pennwood Bible Church. After graduation from Bedford High School, she began working as a waitress at Mae's Diner on Mile Level, later taking a break from working to raise her sons. She then worked as a waitress for many years at Kelly's Scenic View Restaurant in Everett until retiring., where she loved and was loved by many of her customers. At home she enjoyed crocheting, watching NASCAR racing and "cheering on" her Pittsburgh Steelers and other favorite sports teams. She loved to read, enjoyed spending time on her front porch and talking with her neighbors, and will be greatly missed for her smile and the happiness she shared with so many. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22nd, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Pennwood Bible Church with Pastor Floyd Rinehart officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Friday at the Church from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Stevens Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Isabelle to the Pennwood Bible Church, 440 Hospital Drive, Everett, PA 15537.
