Marian E. (Shaffer) Eichelberger

Marian E. Eichelberger, 83, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 29, 2012. She was born Thursday, March 28, 1929 at her family home in Napier Township, a daughter of the late Jesse Smith and Edith (Price) Smith and was raised by her foster parents, the late William Shaffer and Sarah (Clark) Shaffer. On May 9th, 1949 in Winchester, Virginia, she married Wilmer G. "Bud" Eichelberger, who survives along with their children, Genie Sullow and husband Richard Sullow, of Henderson, Nevada John L. Eichelberger, of Cherry Hill Susan Kwiatkowski, and husband Robert Kwiatkowski, of Sewell, New Jersey a grandson Charles "C.J." Trefz, of Henderson, and many loving family members and extended family members of her parents and foster parents. She was preceded in passing away by an infant son Cloyd Eichelberger. Mrs. Eichelberger was a member of the Erlton Baptist Church in Cherry Hill, and was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1948. After her marriage to Wilmer, she traveled with her husband throughout the world as he pursued his United States Navy career, raising and caring for her family along the way with a zest for life that few could match. She will be greatly missed for sharing with so many her ability to live life to the fullest each moment of each day. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 4th, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Thursday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
