Marie (Creps) Shuss

Marie Shuss, 80, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28th, 2013. She was born Tuesday, January 17th, 1933 at her family home in Snake Spring Township, a daughter of the late Roy E. Creps and Verda (Snyder) Creps. On November 18th, 1949 she married Daniel B. Shuss who passed away on November 1st, 1994. She is survived by their children, Daniel R. Shuss and wife Susanne (DeMoreland) Shuss, of Lititz Steven A. Shuss, of Everett Betsy M. Shuss, of Abington Mark E. Shuss and wife Florence (Busbee) Shuss, of Altoona Samuel J. Shuss, of Everett Three grandchildren, Rebecca (Shuss) Grossman, and husband Gregory, of Lancaster Danielle (Shuss) Wittmaier and husband Daniel, of Lititz Daniel B. Shuss, of Manheim Six great grandchildren, Reggie Grossman , Noah Grossman , Elizabeth Grossman, Micah Grossman, Amelia Wittmaier and Penelope Wittmaier A sister, Shirley DeCicco of Northvale, New Jersey A brother Edward "Ed" Creps and wife Mary (Trail) Creps, of Everett And many loving nieces, nephews, friends and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by a sister B. Louise Snyder in 1992. Mrs. Shuss was a lifetime member of the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren where she also served as a Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the Women's Fellowship. A graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1949, Marie was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker who always put her family and friends first. She truly enjoyied the company of others, so working outside of her home was important to her, especially the time spent with her parents working at Mile Level Pizza Shop, which she and her sister-in-law Mary later co-owned and operated until Marie's retirement. At home she enjoyed working with flowers, crafts, and studying her family's history and heritage, and will be remembered for her kindness to others, always having time for a polite conversation and a kind word to share with everyone she knew. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2nd, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren with Pastor Vaughn Loose and Pastor Janet Sell officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Thursday at the Church from 10:00 am until the our of service, and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
