Marilyn B. (Blackwelder) Grover

Marilyn B. Grover, 88, of Breezewood, most recently of Pennknoll Village, passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2017. She was born Tuesday, December 4, 1928 in Fresno California, a daughter of the late Henry "Ed" Blackwelder and Ramona (Cole) Blackwelder. On June 25th, 1961 in Madison, Tennessee, she married William L. Grover who passed away on August 6th, 1987. She is survived by their children, William L. Grover, Jr. of Breezewood, Barbara R. Grover of Breezewood, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by three sisters, Doris Faust, Barbara Wade, and Charlabeth Cowen, and a brother Robert Blackwelder. Mrs. Grover was a member of the Everett Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she participated in the Community Service organization of the Church and helped to run the Winter Fruit Sale. Attending Madison College in Madison, Tennessee, where she earned her degree to practice as a medical secretary, Marilyn worked for many years as a secretary at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Maryland, later working as a medical secretary in orthopedics until retiring. At home she enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook who will be remembered for providing a comfortable and loving home for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13th, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Robert Snyder officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett on Monday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com.
