Marion E. (Mellott) Fetters

Marion E. Fetters, 99, of Bellefonte, formerly of Rock Hill Church Road, Everett, was called home to be with Our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 31st, 2012, at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. She was born Sunday, July 6th, 1913 at her family home in Bainville, Montana, a daughter of the late Charles Mellott and Sarah (Fletcher) Mellott. On September 3rd, 1936 she married John William Fetters who passed away December 31st, 1976. She is survived by their children, Richard L. Fetters and wife Bonnie (Smith) Fetters of State College Dorothy Shubert and husband Barry Shubert of Lady Lake Florida, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren, a sister, Ethel Phillips, of Cumberland, Maryland 3 brothers, John Mellott, of State College Elmer Mellott, of Bedford Lloyd Mellott, of State College and a sister in law Bertha Mellott, of Windber. She was preceded in passing away by a daughter Ruth Snyder, and a brother Bernard Mellott. Mrs. Fetters was a member of the Stevens Chapel United Methodist Church and was active in many church social events with cooking and baking. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, making quilts for her children and grandchildren, baking, making the best homemade bread and pies, and crocheting many beautiful afghans. She will be greatly missed for her caring and giving ways. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 at 1;00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. Jay A. Saxe officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
